Senior Associate, Partnership and Data Engagement

Job Summary
The Senior Partnership and Data Engagement Associate will oversee funder data management, funder relationships, and proposal/reporting processes to drive strategic funder engagement and optimize fundraising workflows. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of the CRM system, supporting data-driven fundraising strategies, and enhancing the overall funder experience while contributing to team-wide goals and continuous process improvement.
Essential Functions
Responsibilities of this position include, but may not be limited to:
- Funder Data Management & Reporting
- Support the implementation of a partnership-centered CRM system to enhance donor management.
- Ensure CRM data integrity, maintain clean and accurate records, and manage funder segmentation.
- Generate reports for strategy development, campaign performance, and funder insights.
- Provide thought leadership on CRM enhancements and usage protocols.
- Funder Relationship
- Support funder engagement strategies and stewardship/moves management protocols.
- Process gifts and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Training & Collaboration
- Conduct CRM training for fundraising staff and Strategic Partnerships team.
- Develop and document workflows for grant and report submissions, donor engagement, and stewardship.
In addition to these core responsibilities, the position will play a supportive role in:
- Contributing to grant research and the identification of funding opportunities as needed, with the understanding that this role supports research efforts in various forms, such as using the database to map out a segment of prospects, rather than serving as a lead researcher. There is potential for growth in this area as the role evolves.
- Designing templates for funder communications and engagement strategies.
- Supporting funder convenings and contributing to the development and implementation of internal best practices for convenings to foster collaboration and engagement.
- Acting as a liaison between finance and program teams to align objectives and streamline processes.
- Contributing to comprehensive fundraising efforts in alignment with organizational goals.

Education & Experience
While no one person will embody all the qualifications listed below, the ideal incumbent will possess many of the following:
Required:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in fundraising operations, donor data management, or CRM administration.
- Direct experience working with Bloomerang or another donor CRM platform, with a strong understanding of CRM data integrity and segmentation.
- Demonstrated ability to generate reports and leverage data for strategic decision-making.
- Experience supporting fundraising workflows, including donor engagement, proposals, and reporting.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Alignment with Proteus Fund’s mission and values, including a commitment to social justice and equity.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting system transitions or CRM implementations.
- Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising strategies and philanthropic sector norms.
- Experience working remotely and/or in a distributed team environment.
Position Type & Schedule/Hours:
This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. Business hours are Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm in the time zone where the candidate is located. Additional hours are occasionally required.
This position works indoors and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Most of the work will be performed remotely, which requires a dedicated workspace.
This position is largely sedentary, with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; however, some movement may be required depending on the specific job duties. This position requires the ability to: operate a computer daily, as well as other home- or in-office devices such as a copier or printer as needed; communicate effectively with coworkers and external parties, including - for example - via email, phone, and/or video conferencing; and, occasionally, lift up to 25 lbs. Travel
This position requires occasional travel, estimated at 5–10%, including participation in Proteus Fund’s all-staff retreats and other job-related travel such as team meetings, donor convenings, or training opportunities. Most travel will be planned in advance and may involve overnight stays.
Compensation
The salary for this role is $68,272 - 82,609 and is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, skill set level, years of previous/applicable experience, and Proteus Fund's commitment to ensuring pay equity within the organization. The recruiting team will share more details regarding salary bands based on the candidate's specific geographic location as well as the other factors noted above. Salary is one part of the total compensation that Proteus Fund provides to employees.
